Tim McConnell, B.A., M.P.A.,SPHR, HCS
Managing Partner / Senior HR Strategist
Tim’s has served as an Adjunct Professor at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa, and the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. His contributions to academia include teaching roles at Carleton University, where he instructed students in Human Resources Management at the Graduate School of Public Administration.
Educated at McGill University and Carleton University, Tim holds a B.A. in Political Science and Economics, along with a Master’s degree in Public Administration. He has earned several professional designations including the CHRP in Canada, the SPHR in the United States, Certified Management Consultant (CMC), and Human Capital Strategist (HCS).
Tim was awarded the Ross A. Hennigar Memorial Award from the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario (HRPAO).
Tim’s book, “The Non-Profit Dilemma: HR and Organizational Challenges in Non-Profit Organizations (2nd Edition),” was published by Grahall OmniMedia Publishing LLC in Boston, MA in 2019. He is a past-President of the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) in Ontario and a former member of the Board of Directors of HRNY / SHRM New York City.
He is the published author of several articles on HR Management, Compensation and OD and is a featured public speaker on these topics. Tim was a keynote speaker at the Annual Conference of the Cayman Islands Society for Human Resources Professionals (CISHRP) in 2018 and 2019 – speaking on Organization Design and Compensation Management.
Tim has successfully managed over several hundred client projects in Canada and the Caribbean since our firm was established in 2002. These cover our core practice areas of Compensation Management, Organizational Analysis & Design, and Human Resources Strategy.
